How to keep fit mentally and physically to avoid those winter blues

MXLLS

A new year has arrived with promises to help us get back on track. Whether it’s fitness, food, or lifestyle related. Unfortunately, only 10% of those who set New Year’s Resolutions actually stick to them. Why is this number so low? Are we reaching too high? or are we setting unrealistic expectations for ourselves? Here are some tips to help you stick to your goal to help you avoid those winter blues.

  1. Set a goal…on paper! Write it down. There is some kind of magic that happens when we put pen to paper. Now write it a few times and POST IT….all over you house or car or office. This friendly reminder will keep you motivated and on track.

  2. Now visualize yourself achieving this goal…Yes close your eyes. Where are you? What are you wearing? Who are you with? How do you feel? Visualizing ourselves achieving our goals can be one of the most powerful tools. Do this daily.

  3. Keep a gratitude journal…Yes i know only teenage girls do this. Trust me, this will keep you accountable. Daily write down 3 things you are grateful for. This will keep you grounded and help to get through those hard days.

  4. Now go, do the do! Start moving. Join that class you said you would. Eat more greens like you said you would. Move each day and it will get easier.

All only takes 21 days to create a new habit. Now go commit and finish what you said you would do!

Happy 2017!
